So on a wet Sunday morning in the middle of October, what better to do than curl up in bed with a cup of hot chocolate and a few biscuits?

How about arrive at the start line of the Stilton Stumble 24k race? Well that is the option that Thomas James Assistant To Director took!

The Stilton Stumble is a local race with its start and finish in Cropwell Bishop. The route takes participants through the villages of Kinoulton, Hickling, Long Clawson and Colston Bassett, before returning to the finish in Cropwell Bishop.

A scenic, though rather soggy route and a tough little race!

Our Assistant To Director set her eyes on the prize and ran her socks off! Coming home first lady and receiving a lovely medal but most importantly ........... a rather large and just delicious slab of locally produced Stilton cheese!

Worth the effort!

And thanks to the organisers of the event for a super morning!
