- Ensure your agent has access to the property at all reasonable times.
- Ensure your agent knows exactly which fixtures and fittings are included in the sale, and which will be removed.
- Freshen up your property with a lick of neutral paint. However, do paint entire walls, not just covering the marks, as a quick “touch-up” job will look just that. A fresh coat of paint on the front door will always help, as first impressions count.
- Freshly cleaned carpets always look great.
- If you’re not that impressed with your garden, a day or two’s work for a gardener might make a big difference and is relatively inexpensive.
- Overcrowded rooms can look smaller than they are, so try to remove any clutter that is not needed.
- Any prominent faults with the property should be pointed out to the agent and dealt with early on.
